Kavya Gopinath is a third-year at Brown University studying International and Public Affairs with a focus in development. She joined the Brown Debating Union (BDU) the fall of her first year with no prior debate experience and ended up loving it. She is now vice-president of the BDU and debated every weekend in a league called APDA (American Parliamentary Debate Association) but has also done BP (British Parliamentary) style debate. Besides debate, she is also Communications Director for the club Women in Politics and would love to discuss anything related to feminism, politics and international relations!
Join us for an interactive Masterclass, featuring brown university student and the vice-president of Brown Debating Union (BDU) Mentor, Kavya Gopinath. Kavya will guide students through the power of debating and it’s importance on life beyond the classroom. Kavya Gopianth will share the top communication tips that she’s learnt from Brown Debating Union. She would love to discuss anything related to feminism, politics and international relations!
The session will be interactive, with participants taking part in polls and students will be provided with the opportunity to ask questions.
Our Masterclass offers support to individuals of all backgrounds and roles with a suite of skills and a mindset that enables and encourages them to get the best out of themselves, and out of others.
We give people the confidence to be themselves, whether in person or online, and help them to develop an effective virtual presence, ready to thrive in the “new normal” – whatever it may look like.
