Ayah Al-Zubi is a second-year at Harvard College majoring in Sociology, Psychology and Education. She was born in Jordan and lives in Cincinnati, Ohio. She is the Social Co-Chair of the Society of Arab Students at Harvard. Alongside SAS, Ayah is a member of Harvard's Youth Lead the Change. Ayah is passionate about the intersection of sports and empowerment.

She has started her own organization, Impowera, that aims to empower, inspire and motivate youth through sports curriculum. In her work, Ayah has launched basketball camps in Amman, Jordan for young girls of which she piloted through Harvard’s inaugural SPARK Program. Recently, she has been shifting her work into a mentorship program for youth. Through Wave Learning, Ayah taught a sports justice class featuring professional athletes such as NBA’s and CBA’s Ekpe Udoh and USA Women’s Soccer’s Margaret Purce.

Join us for a Masterclass in Youth Leadership

Join us for an interactive Masterclass, featuring Havard College student, Ayah Al-Zubi. She is a member of Harvard's Youth Lead. Youth leadership is a crucial part of Ayah’s work. She has given a Tedx Talk on diversity and youth leadership. She has developed teen leadership curriculum for her internship with Reclaim Childhood, a non-profit organization based in Jordan. She is working with Learn Fresh and an NBA Cares Program to encourage youth through basketball in the United States. Currently, Ayah launched a sports x mental health conference in the MENA. Ayah is committed to empowering youth to change the future because they are the future. You’ll find Ayah outdoors, dancing, or playing any sport in her free time.

The session will be interactive, with participants taking part in polls and students will be provided with the opportunity to ask questions.

Our Masterclass offers support to individuals of all backgrounds and roles with a suite of skills and a mindset that enables and encourages them to get the best out of themselves, and out of others.

We give people the confidence to be themselves, whether in person or online, and help them to develop an effective virtual presence, ready to thrive in the “new normal” – whatever it may look like.
